We traveled a little over 120 miles on the outside (Atlantic Ocean) and had a great wavy ride for 9 hours. I can not explain the happiness having stabilizers has made us. Typically, a beam sea (waves that are running at a right angle to the boat) would be conditions we would not enjoy and avoid if I had my say. We now welcome a beam sea (not really) but at least I have not been getting sick like I did on our old Grand Banks.
This beautiful view helps me get over having to get up early! |
Came across several cargo ships anchored out, waiting to make their deliveries. |
Traveling this speed for a bit of our trip helped us make 123 miles in 9 hours. |
No sooner did we get all settled-in, we were at dinner enjoying each other.
Two days in Hilton Head then off to Charleston!!
Bob and Liz (Knot Sew Easy) and Kevin and Jill (Chasing 80) |
Yay! Back together! |
Jammin Jane docked next to Knot Sew Easy and Chasing 80 is the last boat on the right. |
Dinghy ride to meet Kevin and Jill at the Charter house |
We sat here waiting for Kevin and Jill, who rode their bikes, for over an hour. Finally, we realized we were at the wrong place! OOOOPS! |
Enjoying a beautiful late afternoon, and we finally met up with Kevin and Jill!! |
