Put-in-Bay

Our handsome boy, Crocket, posing on Put-in-Bay
Put-in-Bay, Ohio is a cute town located on South Bass Island. It is a very popular summer vacation spot with many hotels and marinas and mostly bars and restaurants. There are fewer than 200 people residing on the island year round. Lots of partying happens here on the island. We saw a small sampling of the craziness and were very happy we were here during the week. We were docked on B dock in the heart of everything, on our last day the dock filled up and the partying was beginning. We came back to our boat one evening and there were two guys laying on the dock by our boat. They saw us and got up and walked (barely able to walk in a straight line) away, arms around each other, professing their love for each other (something not many sober guys do)!!

We came here to meet up with Dave and Nancy on Miss Nancy, who we met along the Loop. Put-in-Bay is the home of the worlds longest, permanent, continuous bar located at Beer Barrel Saloon. Of course we had a drink here! We enjoyed a band called 'Mustang Sally' and time with friends. We are very spoiled, our friends Tim and Carol on Liquid Assets let us use a relatives golf cart while on the island! Worked out great, we explored Put-in-Bay with Crocket and didn't have to walk to dinner!!
