We had a quick run (only 26 miles) to Bobby's Fish Camp. This was the plan as the "best fried catfish on the river restaurant" is only open Thur-Sun. Bobby's features catfish dinners, friendly folks and an eating environment that is pure country. Luck was on our side and only two other boats were on the itty bitty dock when we arrived. We docked on the boat dock, and our buddy boats rafted off both us and the other boats that were already there.
Our 2.5 hour run was glorious, I was actively watching out for alligators and wouldn't you know it???!!! Ben yells out "I think its a gator! Get the good camera!" I proceed to look with the binoculars and sure enough...It was a gator...a BIG gator! Guess, Ben will NOT be diving to check on the props!
This stop puts us 118 miles from Mobile!!!
