Green Turtle Bay Resort is holding us hostage...and that's a good thing!!!

Why would you want to leave these fun people?

We clicked right away, another friendship made!

So our plan has been to leave today, Friday, the 9th, to begin our trip up the Cumberland River to Nashville. This gives us a week to get there which is more than enough time. We have been staying here at Green Turtle Bay for the last 2 weeks and have enjoyed our time immensely. Part of me was a tad bit disappointed that we would miss the big celebration here called Hunters Moon Fall Festival celebrating 125 years, complete with a parade and dance. We even heard from our friend Evelyn on Something Special that she enjoyed her time last year so much she was hoping to persuade her husband to stay for the party. It seems she was not that convincing as they are now gone! 

When I reserved our slip for our additional week, I was told that if we wanted to stay any longer we would have to move out of our spot because of the festival. I guess it is pretty popular and draws in a lot of transient boats. Not wanting to be a burden we stuck with the plan to depart Friday morning. It seems the wonderful staff here had different plans for us! They must like us because they asked us to extend our stay for the weekend!!! Seriously?...They, Bill Gary the owner, actually came to us to ask if we wanted to stay! UMMMM...let me think about that...OK!! (I really didn't think about it) Yes please! And THANK YOU!! They even gave us a surprise! Great people!

I'm so excited, we get to stay here for the Hunters Moon Fall Festival! I'll be sure to document our time! And we found out that the group of boats coming in are all from Nashville. Great resource for us!

WHEN you stop here, make sure you spread the love and friendship they extend to their customers!
